VAT-taxable ownership and rental activities

VAT refund during construction – a significant benefit for the investor. In new projects, construction costs include a significant amount of VAT, which the owner can claim back when the apartment is put into full VAT-taxed short-term rental use.

The amount of VAT to be refunded is significant: on average, around €36,000 for a 35.2 m² apartment in Pilothouse.

The VAT refund during construction reduces the buyer's need for equity and improves the return on investment. The financial benefit is typically realized soon after the project is completed.
